Wills promotion - 25% off in November

Dia de Muertos (literally Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Central and South America, in particular the Central and South regions of Mexico. It is acknowledged internationally in many cultures. The multi-day holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.

I have always been fascinated by this fiesta of celebration of life, which despite its rather foreboding English translation is the type of celebration most of us would wish for when we are no longer here! How supportive to gather together as a family group to remember loved ones who are no longer with us and to celebrate their lives. It is a very healthy attitude to something which is often thought to be a taboo subject.

There is currently a lot of debate about breaking down barriers to speaking about death and dying. It is a sensitive subject but rituals like Dia de Muertos allow us to consider just how we would like our affairs to be handled when that time comes without becoming too sad or melancholic. It is definitely an attitude to embrace.

What better opportunity than this to ensure we all have our legal affairs in order so that when the time comes, our loved ones are more able to reflect on and celebrate life. Ensuring your Will and, where appropriate, your funeral arrangements are in place allows you time to discuss these with your loved ones if you wish.

We are running a campaign in November to coincide with this celebration of those no longer with us by offering 25% discount on Wills if you book an appointment with us by 30th November 2017.

Please contact Gillian Brown at  quoting ”Day of the Dead” to book your appointment to arrange a new Will. Alternatively, you can phone us on 0141 332 5666 or 0131 226 6541 and a member of our Wills, Trusts & Estates department will be delighted to help.
