Venturefest Scotland 2016 - A Summit for Innovation
We are delighted to be taking part again in Venturefest Scotland on Thursday 1st September at the Glasgow Science Centre.
After its successful launch in Scotland in 2015, attracting 600 delegates, the event is growing significantly in 2016 with 750 – 1,000 delegates expected to attend, drawing together the local innovation ecosystem in gathering ambitious growth businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to share experiences and explore opportunities to work together to develop and commercialise emerging innovation and technologies.
Morisons’ partners Lucy Gannon and Andrew Sloane will be participating in the ‘Meet the Expert’ panel, where experts across a number of fields including finance, IP and digital marketing will be accessible to entrepreneurs looking for real-world advice to support the growth of their businesses. Lucy and Andy will be providing practical advice to companies preparing for and executing their fundraising plans.
Venturefest Scotland, which is part of a UK wide network of events supported by Innovate UK, will feature a series of workshops on the linked themes of Innovation, Digital, Growth and Funding and also an impressive line-up of keynote speakers including Chris van der Kuyl, chairman of 4J Studios (developer of Minecraft for the Xbox) and Entrepreneurial Scotland.
Lucy Gannon, Partner, said, “The Venturefest programme is packed with practical events for entrepreneurs growing their businesses and it offers a great platform for positive connections amongst innovators, investors and entrepreneurial companies. We are really looking forward to supporting the event again this year.”
