Alan is a Partner in the Commercial Property Department and deals with property development and construction. With an extensive background in commercial property, Alan specialises in non-contentious construction law acting on behalf of a number of clients including major retailers, developers of industrial and leisure projects and professionals in relation to the contract of appointment.
Alan is part of a three Partner group involved in providing advice to developer clients on construction issues from appointment of consultants and contractors to infrastructure agreements and disputes from resolution of minor disagreements through formal arbitration to Court of Session litigation.
Alan specialises in IT law acting on behalf of a number of clients including major retailers, telecommunications organisations, software developers, IT Consultancy Companies, HE and FE organisations, Registered Social Landlords, and as a consultant for other law firms. Alan drafts all types of IT Contracts and Partnering Agreements and also represents professionals in relation to their contracts of appointment.
