Companies House PSC Register & Confirmation Statement to go live

Since 6 April 2016 and the coming into force of the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015, every UK company and every limited liability partnership (LLP) has had to commence maintaining its own Person of Significant Control (PSC) register. This includes wholly-owned subsidiaries and dormant companies. The information on the register has to be provided to Companies House from 30 June 2016, as part of a Company/ LLP’s next filing of the Confirmation Statement (which has replaced the Annual Return). The register identifies the individuals who have significant control over the company or LLP. A company or LLP may have multiple people with significant control or none. Please follow the links for more information on the PSC register, what constitutes significant control and the new Confirmation Statement.
